SUSTAINABILITY
AES actively strives to support the mission of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the core concepts that the LEED movement teaches. Our firm has been involved in providing structural services for over 440 LEED-certified projects, including some that have been recognized on an international level. Not only do our professionals enjoy providing structural engineering consultation, but they enjoy doing so for projects that are designed with a resilient, sustainable focus. By utilizing the processes that the USGBC has proposed through the LEED movement, AES strives to develop more sustainable buildings for each project in which we are involved.
Our LEED AP experts strive to “effect a permanent shift in prevailing design, planning, construction, and operations practices, resulting in lower-impact, more sustainable, and ultimately regenerative built environments” in every project, always offering structural solutions that are built around the three core LEED concepts of systems thinking, life-cycle thinking, and integrative processes. AES encourages the participating project members to also become familiar with these vital principles in order to provide comprehensive solutions focused on creating closed systems with negative feedback loops by utilizing the unique perspectives that each discipline has to offer.
