Carson and Kayla Walk to End Alzheimer's
On Saturday, November 5th, Megan Beery and her family participated in Jacksonville’s 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. Their team, championed by her children Carson and Kayla (pictured above), not only participated in the event on the University of North Florida’s campus but they helped raise funds to advance critical research and improve care for those afflicted by Alzheimer’s.
The walk was a beautiful representation of the strength and hope of not only the patients, but also of their friends and families. Carson and Kayla’s team carried purple flowers to honor their great-grandfather, and orange flowers to show support for the cause. The support that was demonstrated by the community in the Jacksonville region was overwhelming, with $301,936 raised among all of the teams participating in the event.
Carson and Kayla, as well as Megan’s family, wants to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped support their team’s efforts this year!
